Please do not burn candles near pets or children. Did you know that Houston Candles are so strong, you can scent your home without lighting them? Just place your container on a high shelf and enjoy.
Good Night, Sleep Tight
Please do not leave a candle unattended, particularly while you are sleeping. This is a major cause of house fires.
Leave Well Enough Alone
Please do not move a lighted candle. If you find that it is in a draft, extinguish the candle and allow to dry before you relocate it.
On The Surface
Please use a heat resistant candleholder under every candle you burn. This will beautify your candle, and prevent candle color and fragrance oil from harming your surface.
Sometimes Less Is More
Please trim your wick to 1/4 inch. The wicks in these candles act as a straw to pull the fragrance out and into the air. Due to the heavy amounts of scented oil in Houston Candles, your wicks will produce small black “fragrance mushrooms” on the tips. It is very important that you trim and clean your wicks before each use. You can pull the “fragrance mushroom” off with a tissue, or simply give the wick a little snip with scissors. Well-trimmed wicks produce beautiful, safe, and long-lasting candles.
Never put any amount of candle wax down your sink.
Scoop out your remaining wax and the wicks over the trash before you wash and reuse your jars.
